Born and raised in the Rochester area, Bob graduated from Bishop Kearney High School in 1981 & St. John Fisher College in 1985 with a BS in Marketing Management. Prior to the formation of Fischer Investment Group, Bob served as Senior Vice President of a family-owned independent insurance brokerage firm where he managed firm marketing and operational activities throughout 35 states.
Bob is also active in the community, having served on the boards of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO), the Greater Rochester Visitor’s Association, The Boy Scouts of America Otetiana Council and Pittsford Little League. He is also a former member of the New York State (NYS) Superfund Management Board, NYS Superfund Work Group, New York State Environmental Facilities Corporation (NYSEFC) Board of Directors, former co-chair of the Monroe County Budget Advisory Team (2003), Rochester-Genesee Regional Transit Authority (RGRTA) Board of Commissioners, NYS Brownfields Advisory Board and coached a McQuaid Jesuit High School baseball team in the 13U and 15U Monroe County Babe Ruth League.
In addition to having spearheaded numerous fundraising campaigns for candidates seeking office at the local, state and national levels, Bob is also a past Commodore of the Rochester Yacht Club, and was a recipient of the Rochester Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Award in 1999.
Bob resides in the town of Pittsford with his wife, Elaine, son, Jack and dog, Ava.

CJ started with the firm in 2011 as a Research Associate before being promoted to Chief Investment Officer in 2015. He is responsible for all aspects of the firm as concerns investment discipline, investment strategy, and portfolio management. Additionally, CJ is responsible for overseeing all internal investment research and technical analysis as well as managing the firm’s team of research analysts.
Prior to becoming CIO, CJ worked as a Financial Planning Analyst at The Ayco Company L.P., a Goldman Sachs Company.
CJ is a graduate of St. John Fisher College and also active in the community through his service with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Rochester, New York.

Joanna oversees all aspects of office operations including: client services, portfolio information, and broker/custodian liaison. She has over 25 years of experience at Fischer Investment Group and worked in the retail and institutional brokerage industry before joining the firm. Joanna graduated from Wheaton College (MA) in 1986 with a B.A. in psychology and worked as a research assistant in the psychology department.

Jared started at the firm in 2015 as a research analyst before being promoted in 2017 to Vice President-Client Relations. He is responsible for acquiring and maintaining individual and institutional client relationships. Additionally, Jared helps clients achieve financial objectives by assessing their individual financial situation.
Jared is a graduate of St. John Fisher College with a B.S. in Finance with a concentration in Economics. While attending St. John Fisher he served as the Vice President of the investment club. When not at work, Jared enjoys playing golf. He stays active in the community with his volunteer service on the committee of the Junior Builders Exchange annual charity golf event which benefits The Mary Parkes Asthma Center.
